Introduction

A water hammer arrestor is a device designed to absorb the shocks in a piping system when the flow of water is suddenly disrupted due to the swift closing of shutoff valves. These disruptions create loud, banging sounds and can indicate potential damage to pipe walls, flow meters, or pressure sensors.

  • Waterproof Air Bladder and Spring: Helps in absorbing the shock.
  • Gas or Air-Filled Chamber: Sealed by a diaphragm or piston which moves to absorb the shocks from water momentum.
  • Separation of Air and Water: Ensures no maintenance is required to drain out water, unlike older models.
